CEREC Technology

CEREC is a sophisticated digital technology system that allows dentists to design and create high quality, metal-free dental restorations in ONE patient visit. The 3D photography and CAD/CAM technology help assist the dentist in designing a virtual restoration without taking impressions. This technology combined with a milling unit, allows us to build the actual restoration while you are still in the chair. The digital impressions make precise restorations that look natural, fit perfectly, and are long lasting. The technology brings extreme value to both the practice and our patients.

CEREC Procedures:

  • Onlays/Inlays
  • Crowns
  • Porcelain veneers
  • Bridges

If you have a cracked tooth, old failing restorations, a large cavity, or any other type of tooth structure damage, you may be a great CEREC candidate. We find that CEREC has been significantly helpful for producing high quality crowns quickly. To give you a little background, a dental crown is a type of dental restoration which completely caps or encircles a tooth or dental implant. Crowns are often needed when a large cavity threatens the ongoing health of a tooth. Our main goal is to save as much tooth structure as possible in a tough situation.  By using CEREC, we can cut out the middle man and provide a long lasting solution the same day.

Dr. Zourdos and Dr. Shaib have been using CEREC technology for many years because of the convenience and results that they have achieved for their patients in one dental visit.
